Trip Introduction

Sikles trek is mostly loved trekking area among the trekkers offering picturesque unfold natural beauty of Nepal. Charming villages, terraced fields, rhododendron forest and high alpine meadows towering mountains of Annapurna II (7937m) and IV (7525m) are some of the key features of this trek. Prince Charles once trek through this trail in 1980 to visit Gurkha recruits which later also known as Royal trek. The trek offers great view of Great Mountain and rough terrain. It is one of the alternative short trek in Annapurna region passing through Gurung villages and rice terraces with enchanting panoramic views of Machapuchare (fishtail peak) and other mountains lying along the region. Trekking starts from Bijaypur Khola passing through the Gurung villages well preserved at Siklesh villages. During the trek, you will enjoy the magnificent views of Himalaya, farms and scattered forests filled with various kinds of birds.

  • Day 01 | Arrival at Kathmandu

    Upon our arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative of MD Adventure Travel and Tours and drop to the hotel for check in. You will be given welcome drinks by the hotel upon arrival and during the formal formalities of the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 3 | Drive Pokhara - Bijayapur khola (30 minutes). Trek to Kalikasthan (1370m/4495 ft)

    Breakfast at the hotel and will drive to Bijayapur Khola. From here, we begin our trek crossing past through flat rice fields and ascending to Chautara via Rakhigaon. During the trek, you will view the Brahmins dominated village which connects us to Kalikasthan. One will find the mountain views and the view of Pokhara fascinating. Stay overnight at tea house lodge.

  • Day 04 | Trek to Lamakhet (1,680m/5512 ft, 6hrs)

    Today, you will gently pass through local villages of mixed ethnic groups, rice terraces up to Mardi Khola. The trek is easy as you cross Bhaise to reach Lamakhet. The small village is surrounded by green hills which exhilarates you. Stay overnight at tea house lodge.

  • Day 05 | Trek to Sikles (1,980m/6497 ft, 6 hrs)

    The trail is flat until we reach Khilan Gaon (village) and is gently uphill for some hours. You will pass by Parju village and climb uphill till Siklis village. The village is one of the oldest and big Gurung village having most of the people served in Indian and British Army. Stay overnight at tea house.

  • Day 06 | Trek to forest Camp (2,200m/ 7218 ft, 5 hrs)

    Today, we will trek to Forest camp that goes through rhododendron and oak forests following gently ascent path in the beginning. After some, minutes we will walk over the land and reach forest camp which is surrounded by forests. Stay overnight at tea house.

  • Day 07 | Trek to Ghale Gaon(2,000m/6562 ft, 5hrs)

    We will ascend towards Ghale Gaon a wonderful village passing through pleasant rhododendron forest with exceptional views of Boudha Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu in the east, Mt. Fishtail in the west and Lamjung Himal and Annapurna in the north. On arrival at Ghalegaun, you will enjoy the warm hospitality of the host family. Stay overnight at tea house.

  • Day 10 | Half day sightseeing. Free day

    After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel for your sightseeing covering: Boudhanath stupa, located about 11 km from the center and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, the stupa's massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal. On 1979, Boudha Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along with Swayambhu, it is one of the most popular tourist sites in the Kathmandu area. The stupa used to be where the Narayanhiti Musuem is at presently. As per the astrologers, only one with the battis gun was supposed to be sacrificed. While prince was only the one with such quality so, the king sacrificed the hen. The stupa at present is the place where the hen's head was fallen. After refreshment drive for sightseeing of: Patan Durbar Square, situated at the centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal and is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of it’s attraction is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. The city is center of attraction for both Hinduism and Buddhism with 136 bahals or courtyards and 55 major temples. Krishna Mandir with the shrine of Lord Krishna, Radha and Rukmani at each side. Bhimsen temple, renowned for its three interconnected windows. Taleju Bhawani, personal deity of Malla Kings: some of the major attractions. Return back to the hotel. Rest of the time for your personal purpose. At the evening time, enjoy your cultural farewell dinner with live cultural music and dance. Stay overnight at the hotel

  • Day 11 | Departure

    Your journey comes to an end with MD Adventure Travel and Tours. Our office representative will drop to Tribhuwan International Airport before 3 hours as per the rules of the Nepal government for boarding.

Required Documents For Visa Processing

Tribhuvan International Airport is the only international airport of Nepal, under Department of Immigration has been facilitating tourists flying to Nepal by providing Visa on Arrival. The visa for Nepal can be obtained from Nepalese Diplomatic Mission, you must enter Nepal within six months from the visa issued date. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter into Nepal. Or, one can get 'On Arrival'. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the only entry visa to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal for the purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and families), you should still get ' Tourist Visa' to get into the country.  However, you must change the category of visa as per your purpose and length of stay in Nepal from Department of Immigration by producing required documents.

Nationals of following countries are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their nearby Diplomatic missions (Embassies/consulates) of Nepal Government.

Visa Extension Fee

Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for additional days.

  • 60 - 30 days prior to departure 10% of the tour cost.
  • 29 - 15 days prior to departure 20% of the tour cost
  • 14 to 7 days prior to departure 60% of the tour cost.
  • 6 days or less no refunds.
